Annual service
of internal fire hydrants

The annual maintenance of the fire hydrants is required according to art. 22 of Ordinance № 8121h-647 of October 1, 2014, and BDS EN 671-3 “Stationary fire protection systems. Hose systems. Part 3: Maintenance of semi-rigid hose reels and flat hose systems”.
The maintenance / or certification / of the fire hydrants is performed once a year by a competent company, licensed by the Ministry of Interior. The annual service includes:
1. The affixing of a sticker “CHECKED” according to a sample on which the number of the fire hydrant is written;
2. The affixing of a marking sticker if one is missing;
3. The placement of instructions for use, in case such is missing or incomplete;
4. A protocol for the servicing of fire hydrants according to a sample is issued;
5. A service contract is concluded;
6. A tax invoice is issued for the performed service;

Annual maintenance of fire extinguishers

According to Ordinance 8121h-647 of 2014, each fire extinguisher must be serviced once a year and if there is a malfunction, it must be corrected. Solti Ltd. has its own transport and certified service where each fire extinguisher is tested and serviced. We can also offer subscription service. It includes:

  • transportation of fire extinguishers from and to the client’s site (for the territory of Sofia);
  • provision of replacement fire extinguishers for the period of service;
  • replacement of damaged and worn elements and consumables, if any;
  • providing all the necessary documents for the performed service;
  • reminder for expiring certification of the fire extinguisher 12 months after the service.

Maintenance of sprinkler extinguishing systems

According to the requirements of BDS EN 12845 the inspections for the different installations are periodic, depending on the type of installation.
Once installed, sprinkler systems should be regularly checked for proper operation. They can be tested at different time periods: Check the serviceability of the water bell, the switch and its connection to the fire alarm system, the serviceability of the flow relays. On dry systems, check the serviceability and operation of the compressor, as well as the presence of sufficient oil. The pump group is checked, and it is obligatory to start working, etc.

Annual maintenance of smoke extraction systems

According to Bulgarian legislation, smoke extraction systems must be inspected by certified persons once a year. This is necessary to ensure proper and safe operation in case of need. The control system and the actuation system are checked. A report on the inspection shall be drawn up.

Voice notification systems must be inspected by certified persons once a year. This is necessary to ensure proper and safe operation in case of need. Fire sensors are part of the voice alarm system. They are also being tested. A report on the inspection shall be drawn up.

Annual maintenance of fire doors

To ensure the proper functioning of fire doors in case of need, they must be inspected at least once a year. Solti Ltd. has trained technicians performing their maintenance.
